At Capecare Inc, we offer a range of comprehensive services designed to address various mental and behavioral health conditions.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a treatment option that sees people with relatable disorders meet together to discuss their experiences. Therapy groups are led by experienced therapists who help lead the conversations and provide helpful advice to each individual. Along with delivering a sense of community, group therapy gives participants accountability, encouragement, and new perspectives. Group therapy is usually arranged for those dealing with mental health or addiction disorders. It offers a supportive environment where patients are able to develop healthy coping skills, build a support group, and create a roadmap to navigate challenges and enjoy a healthier future.

Group therapy is an important component of our psychiatric day treatment program. The reason is simple: it is an effective treatment for those seeking help for mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression and gambling. A group setting helps patients to see they're not alone in their fight towards recovery.

At Capecare Inc, our reputable group therapy program gives you a supportive, safe space that is the ideal platform for working through your specific challenges. Our group meetings are led by a professional therapist who understands how to impart helpful advice and keep the conversations going and is well-versed in the unique challenges of recovery from mental health and addiction disorders.

We take great care in putting together all of our therapy groups. We want to keep these small in size to ensure all group members feel they are heard and involved. New members are also welcomed in without feeling disconnected from the rest of the group. Additionally, we offer a range of options with our support groups, which means there is a therapy choice that best matches your requirements and interests.

While individual therapy is always recommended for one-on-one support, we often suggest this is combined with group psychotherapy. With both therapy types working concurrently, you receive the full support and help required for your recovery.

Individual  Therapy

At Capecare Inc, our mission is to provide comprehensive and effective mental health services to the Massachusetts community. We are proud to be a licensed psychiatric day treatment program, commonly known as a mental health IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) by insurance companies and the public. One of the cornerstones of our treatment offerings is individual therapy, an essential component of a well-rounded day treatment program. In this web page, we will explore Capecare Inc’s individual therapy services and emphasize the significance of individual therapy in promoting personal growth and well-being.

The Importance of Individual Therapy in Day Treatment

While our program offers a variety of treatment modalities, including group therapy, medication management, and education on mental health issues, individual therapy plays a central role in day treatment for several reasons:

Tailored Treatment Plans

Each individual’s mental health journey is unique. Individual therapy allows us to create a customized treatment plan that addresses specific challenges and goals, ensuring that your needs are met effectively.

Confidential Exploration

In one-on-one therapy sessions, you have the opportunity to explore deeply personal topics that you might not feel comfortable sharing in a group setting. This confidentiality encourages you to address the core issues contributing to your mental health concerns.

Focused Attention

During individual therapy, you receive the undivided attention of your therapist. This focused interaction helps you gain insight and progress more rapidly in your personal growth journey.

Flexible Approach

The flexible nature of individual therapy allows us to adapt and evolve your treatment plan as your needs change. This adaptability is vital for addressing your mental health challenges effectively.

Holistic Treatment

At Atlantic Behavioral Health, we believe in a holistic approach to mental health. Individual therapy is a fundamental part of this approach, allowing us to address the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of your well-being.

Medication Management

Our medical team, in collaboration with our psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner, is equipped to provide medication management for clients when necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.

Personalized Treatment Plans

We believe that each person’s mental and behavioral health journey is unique. Our team works closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address specific challenges and goals effectively.

Holistic Approach

Our approach to mental and behavioral health is holistic, addressing the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of our clients’ well-being. We strive to provide a well-rounded, comprehensive path to recovery.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a treatment that uses group psychotherapy to improve relationships and behaviors among a family unit. This type of talk therapy can assist in various different situations, including death and grief, adjusting to a major life change or medical condition, and relationship conflicts. Family units can come in many different sizes and configurations. They can comprise parents/guardians, children, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and so on. Those part of a unit don't necessarily have to be related. It can also include the likes of friends and kinship carers. In summary, if you have a group of people who care for one another, they can be classed as a family unit.

The Different Types of Family Therapy

Professional clinical mental health counselors use a range of family therapy programs. We are no different. Taking the extra step of matching up a specific family therapy program with a family’s specific circumstances and needs allows us to provide the most effective form of treatment. We can also take different elements from therapeutic approaches, combine them, and create a bespoke strategy that best matches the needs of both you and your family.

Below are common types of family therapy:

Functional Family Therapy
Marriage and Couples Therapy
Structural Family Therapy
Strategic Family Therapy
Systemic Family Therapy
